Introduction
In the scenic valleys of Kullu, amidst rolling hills and crisp mountain air, lie stories of promise — and many of unmet potential. Children in remote villages often wake up to paths blocked by geography, limited resources, and lack of adequate schooling.
Enter Project Paathshaala, an ambitious new literacy initiative by Pryshth Foundation. This campaign aims to ignite the spark of education in Kullu’s children—ensuring that geography doesn’t become destiny.
The Mission of Project Paathshaala
Project Paathshaala is all about bringing the essentials of learning to children who’ve long been underserved. Key objectives include:
-
Setting up local learning centres in Kullu regions where road access or infrastructure is poor
-
Supplying fundamental literacy materials: books, notebooks, stationery, and learning aids
-
Recruiting volunteer teachers or mentors to provide basic reading, writing, numeracy support
-
Creating a safe, accessible environment for children to learn — even in off-season or remote months
Impact Hopes & Expected Outcomes
Although this project is new, its potential is powerful:
-
Reaching children who have never been to formal school or dropped out early because of lack of access
-
Helping children gain literacy skills to engage more confidently with school curriculum
-
Strengthening community involvement in education — local parents, volunteers participating in Paathshaala
Once supported, this project could serve as a model for Pryshth and other NGOs in rural Himachal Pradesh, showing that thoughtful small interventions can yield large, enduring change.

Your support this 2nd-8th October can:
-
Open doors of literacy where none existed
-
Empower children to continue formal education confidently
